A discussion about the crucial role of family support for trans youth and the freedom to read.


If You See Something, Say Something® Day #SeeSayDay

Year-round, the “If You See Something, Say Something®” campaign works to empower and educate the public on the importance of recognizing the signs of terrorism-related suspicious activity and how to report it to local authorities. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has designated September 25 as “If You See Something, Say Something®” Awareness Day, also known as #SeeSayDay. On this day, DHS and its campaign partners across the country come together to remind the public to be aware of suspicious activity and how to report suspected activity to local authorities.

Carved in Silence Screening

Asian American Alliance of Marin (AAAM) and Vivalon invite you to view the award-winning documentary "Carved in Silence." Angel Island sometimes called the Ellis Island of the West was a prison for thousands of immigrants crossing the Pacific during the Chinese Exclusion Act. "Carved in Silence" translates the impact of unjust public policies into human terms. Following the screening, Felicia Lowe will take questions .
